Good night and Good luck

“…It can teach, entertain, & inspire; otherwise it is a merely wire & lights in a box…” I was touched by this line which gives me more confidence to finish my studies so I could also teach, educate & also inspire others. This film focuses on how Broadcasters serves as the fourth estate of the Government which guards & looks at all the anomaly of all the Government Officials.
The movie was totally great. The cinematography was incredible; the Lights, the depth, the focus, the camera shots, and especially the production on how it portrays 40’s & 50’s but when we look at its musical scoring, there’s no emotion, there is no appeal which makes the movie look boring. There is no musical background but such a series of songs sang every time there’s a new scène.
Based on how the story goes, Edward Murrow needs a script before he faces the camera—well, let’s just say, in a broadcast company, every second counts.—but for me, as a watcher, some of his notable words can’t be followed easily because he speaks fast which is also right when it comes to broadcasting.
Well, if we will look at its brighter side, the movie gives justice to the entire broadcast journalist. For me, the movie was made not only to seek for awards & appreciation but it was also made to make them realize on how broadcast journalist is totally jeopardized. It shows how broadcaster are criticized & judged trough their credibility. It was also made to educate the watchers on how broadcast companies live.
It makes the watchers comprehend the principles of broadcasting; its rules, values, ethics, how it works, its process and how a program runs.
“…History will take its revenge…” a nice quotation which gives me more challenge to make a new history in the broadcasting industry.
